Face Rating
Get a face rating out of 10 from one selfie, plus the symmetry, golden ratio and face shape measured behind it. five free reports a day, no sign-up.
- Free, no sign-up
- 478 face landmarks measured
- Photo never stored
Upload your photo to get your report
Front-facing selfie, good lighting. JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC. Drag & drop or paste (Ctrl+V).
Rate my faceMeasured on your device. The photo is sent once to the AI for the report; this site never saves it.
Good photo checklist
- Face the camera straight on, with the phone at eye level
- Even, soft light from the front; no strong shadows
- Neutral expression, hair off the face, no sunglasses or filters
- Hold the phone at arm's length or further: close-up selfies stretch the nose and shrink the jaw

How the face rater works, step by step
One photo, two passes: geometry on your device first, then an AI review of the photo and those numbers.
- 1
Pick one clear photo
JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC all work. Your browser converts HEIC and shrinks the image to 1024 px on its long side before anything else happens.
- 2
Your device measures the face
Google's open-source MediaPipe model places 478 landmarks on your face inside the browser. Symmetry, golden ratio match, face shape and eye shape follow in about 3 seconds once the model has loaded.

The AI writes the face rating
The shrunk photo and those measurements go to Google Gemini in a single request. It sends back the 1-10 rating, eight feature scores, your strengths and three tips, and this site does not keep the photo.
What one face rating report includes
Five parts. In the full breakdown each panel is marked MEASURED or AI ESTIMATE, so you know which numbers are geometry and which are opinion.
Overall rating and potential
A score from 1.0 to 10.0 with one decimal, plus a potential score for the same face with better grooming and a better photo. A short summary explains both.
Symmetry, region by region
One 0-100 score with separate readings for eyes, brows, nose, mouth and jaw. When a gap is noticeable, the note says which side sits higher or wider.
Golden ratio match
Six facial proportions compared with their classic ideals and averaged into one 0-100 number. Face length to width is left out on purpose, because the landmark mesh stops below the hairline.
Face shape and eye shape
The closest of seven face shapes with the two runners-up, plus eye openness, tilt in degrees and spacing. Eyelid type comes from the AI, not from geometry.
Feature scores and tips
Eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, jawline, cheekbones, skin and hair each get a score and a one-line note. Then come your strengths, three practical tips and an apparent age.
Face rating AI compared with other ways to get rated
Four kinds of face rater show up in search, and they answer different questions.
| This face rating | Score-only AI apps | Geometry calculators | A general chatbot | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| What you get | 1-10 rating plus measured symmetry, golden ratio, face and eye shape | A number, sometimes drawn over your photo | Ratios and symmetry, no overall opinion | Whatever your prompt asks for |
| Measured vs guessed | Each breakdown panel is labelled | Varies by app | All measured, nothing judged | Depends on the chatbot |
| Same rules each time | Fixed instructions tied to the measurements | Unknown | Yes | Depends on your prompt |
| Head angle check | Warns past 12 degrees of turn or 10 of tilt | Varies by app | Varies by site | Depends on the chatbot |
| Cost and sign-up | five free reports a day, no account | Varies by app | Varies by site | Depends on the chatbot |
| Your photo | Not saved by this site | Depends on the app | Varies by site | Depends on the chatbot and your settings |
How a face rating is built from 478 landmarks
A bare number is hard to check. This one starts with geometry you can see: the landmark mesh is drawn over your face in the report, and every measured panel shows the value behind it.
Before symmetry is measured, the turn and nod of your head are undone and a midline is fitted to your face, so a slight lean counts for much less. Tilt is handled by measuring along that midline.
The AI then sees the photo and the numbers together. It is told to stay consistent with the measurements, to be honest and kind, and never to comment on race, ethnicity, religion, health or weight. It is told to refuse drawings, pets, photos with no face and young children.
How to read your face rating out of 10
The model is told that most people land between 5.0 and 7.5 and that 8.5 or more is rare. A 6.4 is an ordinary, good result, not a failing grade.
We don't turn your number into a percentile or a rank. That would need ratings from a large, representative group of people, and no such data sits behind this tool, so we leave the label out.
The measured numbers have their own scale. On our ten test selfies, symmetry ran from 79 to 97 and golden ratio match from 61 to 80. Nobody reached 100, and nobody needs to. The potential score is the AI's estimate of where the same face might land with better grooming and a better photo. Read it as a hint, not a forecast.
Photo checklist for a fair face rating
The report flags the first four problems by itself, but it is quicker to get them right before you upload.
- Face the camera: a warning appears when your head is turned more than 12 degrees to the side or 15 degrees up or down.
- Keep your head level, since a tilt beyond 10 degrees triggers a warning too.
- Let your face fill a good part of the frame; a small face far from the camera gets flagged.
- Be the only person in the shot, because with several faces only the largest one is measured.
- Use soft, even light from the front, such as a window facing you.
- Turn off beauty filters and skin smoothing, and take off sunglasses.
- Keep a relaxed, neutral expression with your eyes open; a wide grin changes the mouth and eye readings.
Mistakes that skew a face rater's score
Mistake: Uploading a filtered or retouched selfie.
Do this instead: Smoothing and face-slimming filters move the very landmarks being measured. Use the unedited original from your camera roll.
Mistake: Shooting from well below or above eye level.
Do this instead: A low angle widens the jaw and a high one shrinks the chin, which shifts the facial thirds and the face shape. Hold the camera level with your eyes.
Mistake: Judging yourself on a single photo.
Do this instead: Run a face rating on two or three photos taken in different light. Trust the measurements that hold across all of them. The AI rating can move a few tenths between runs even on one photo, so a small change means little.
Mistake: Reading the AI rating as a measurement.
Do this instead: The 1-10 number is a model's opinion. For figures that stay the same on the same photo, look at the panels marked MEASURED.
Free face rating, your photo and the limits
five free reports a day, no account
Every visitor gets five free reports a day with no sign-up, because there is no account to create. A report that breaks on our side is not counted, but a photo the AI rejects as unusable is. Reports need to be 5 seconds apart. Past that, leaving an email gets you 20 more that day.
What happens to your photo
This site does not save your photo: it is sent once to the AI for your report and then discarded, and we never use it to train models. The measurements run on your device, then the shrunk photo and those numbers go to the AI provider together, in one request. The site keeps no report history: the report is shown in your open tab.
What it cannot tell you
A face rating reads one still photo against fixed proportions, so it misses charm, voice and how you move. It is not medical or cosmetic advice, and the site is for adults 18 and over.
