Pretty Scale

A pretty scale that shows its work: a 1-10 AI rating, measured symmetry and golden ratio, and honest, kind tips. Free, no sign-up.

  • Free, no sign-up
  • 478 face landmarks measured

Upload your photo to get your report

Check my face

Measured on your device. The photo is sent once to the AI for the report; this site never saves it.

Good photo checklist

  • Face the camera straight on, with the phone at eye level
  • Even, soft light from the front; no strong shadows
  • Neutral expression, hair off the face, no sunglasses or filters
  • Hold the phone at arm's length or further: close-up selfies stretch the nose and shrink the jaw

How this pretty scale works

One photo, two kinds of result: geometry measured on your device, then an AI opinion that is told to stay consistent with it.

  1. 1

    Upload one selfie

JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC, one face, looking at the camera. Your browser shrinks it to 1024 px before anything else happens.

  2. 2

    Your face is measured

478 landmarks are placed on your device and turned into symmetry, golden ratio, face shape and eye shape. The first visit downloads the face model; in our tests, every upload after that was measured in about three seconds.

  3. 3

    Read the AI report

The photo and the measurements go once to Google Gemini. It returns a pretty scale rating from 1.0 to 10.0, a potential score, notes on 8 features, your strengths and 3 practical tips.

Am I pretty? What the report actually tells you

One bare number on a pretty scale tells you little. This report separates what is measured from what is judged.

Measured and judged, kept apart

Symmetry, golden ratio, face shape and eye shape are geometry, and their panels say MEASURED. The feature scores and notes sit in panels marked AI ESTIMATE, and the 1-10 rating is an AI opinion too.

A scale with stated anchors

The AI is told that most faces land between 5.0 and 7.5 and that 8.5 or higher is rare. A 6.2 is not a failing grade; it sits inside the range the scale treats as normal.

A potential score beside your rating

You also see the score the AI expects with better grooming and a better photo. It is an estimate, not a forecast, so read it as a hint about what might help.

It tells you when the photo is unfair

The check flags a head turned more than 12 degrees, a tilt over 10 degrees, a face too small in the frame, or a second face. Retake before you believe the number.

Free retakes, so you can test the photo

With five free reports a day, shoot the same face by a window, under a ceiling lamp and at arm's length. Screenshot each report and compare the MEASURED values yourself. Keep in mind the rating can move a few tenths between runs on its own.

Kind rules, written down

The AI is told to stay honest and kind, to name your strengths, and never to comment on race, ethnicity, religion, health or weight.

Pretty scale vs strangers, a chatbot or a quiz

How to read your number on the pretty scale

Start with the band, not the decimal. The AI is instructed that most faces fall between 5.0 and 7.5, so a number in that range means a face that reads as normal and likeable on camera. A 7.5 sits at the top of that band.

Then look at your potential score. It is the AI's estimate of what grooming and a better photo might add, so use it as a pointer to the tips, not as proof of what holds you back.

Last, the number describes one photo read by one AI model. It cannot see how you move, talk or laugh, which people respond to in person. Use it as feedback on a picture, never as a verdict on you.

Am I ugly, or is it the photo?

Often it is the photo. A phone at arm's length is close to your face, and a close lens makes the nose and midface look larger than they do from across a room.

The mirror adds to it. You see a flipped version of yourself every day, so the unflipped face in a photo looks slightly wrong to you, though it is the face everyone else knows.

Light does the rest. A ceiling lamp shadows the eyes, and a low camera makes the jaw look heavier. The measurements undo some head turn before comparing the two sides, but nothing fixes a shadow. If you feel ugly in photos, test it: take three in daylight and compare their pretty scale reports.

What makes you look uglier in a photo

The usual reasons a pretty scale scores a photo lower than the face in it deserves.

  • Mistake: Holding the phone at arm's length, close to your face.

Do this instead: Prop the phone further away or ask a friend, then crop. More distance softens the lens effect on the nose.

  • Mistake: Shooting from below with the chin up.

Do this instead: Keep the camera at eye level and the chin level. The check flags a head tipped more than 15 degrees up or down.

  • Mistake: One lamp overhead, or a bright window behind you.

Do this instead: Face a window in daylight so the light falls evenly on both sides of your face.

  • Mistake: A beauty filter or a heavy edit.

Do this instead: Upload the unedited photo. Smoothed skin and reshaped features throw off the measurements, the skin note and the pretty scale rating.

  • Mistake: A tight, forced expression.

Do this instead: Relax your face or give a small natural smile. Tension pulls the mouth and brows out of line.

  • Mistake: A group photo, or a tiny face in a wide shot.

Do this instead: Use a photo where your face fills much of the frame. With several faces, only the largest one is measured.

What is free, what happens to your photo, the limits

five free reports a day, no account

Each visitor gets five free reports a day without signing up, with a 5-second gap between them. A report that breaks on our side is not counted; a photo the AI rejects as unusable is. Past that, leaving an email gets you 20 more that day.

Your photo is not kept

This site does not save your photo: it is sent once to the AI for your report and then discarded, and we never use it to train models. It is sent once, inside one request, to the AI provider together with your measurements. The site keeps no history of your reports.

An opinion, not a verdict

The pretty scale rating is an AI's view of one photo with no population data behind it, so it is not a percentile or a scientific measure of beauty. The site is for adults 18 and over.
