Guess my ageMeasured on your device. The photo is sent once to the AI for the report; this site never saves it.
Good photo checklist
- Face the camera straight on, with the phone at eye level
- Even, soft light from the front; no strong shadows
- Neutral expression, hair off the face, no sunglasses or filters
- Hold the phone at arm's length or further: close-up selfies stretch the nose and shrink the jaw

How the age guesser works
Guess my age in three steps, from one selfie to an apparent age with a range.
- 1
Upload one clear selfie
JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC. iPhone HEIC photos are converted in your browser and every photo is shrunk to 1024 px before anything is sent.
- 2
Your device checks the photo
MediaPipe maps 478 landmarks on your face inside the browser. You get a warning if your head is turned or tilted, the face is small, or more than one face is in frame.
- 3
Read your apparent age and range
The AI returns the age your face reads as, a likely window around it, notes on your skin and hair, and three practical tips.
What this age estimator does differently
A range, not one magic number
Next to the headline age you see a window of 6 to 10 years, such as likely between 27 and 35. A single photo can't pin an age to the year, so we don't pretend it can.
The photo is checked before the guess
Head turned more than 12 degrees sideways or 15 up or down, or tilted past 10 degrees? The page tells you before you trust the result, so you can retake it.
Clues beside the number
The same report scores your skin and hair with a one-line note each and gives three tips on grooming, light or angle. Several of those also change how old a face reads.
Labels that say what is measured
Geometry panels are marked MEASURED. The apparent age panel is marked AI ESTIMATE, because it is the model's reading of your photo, not a calculation.
Which age guesser fits what you want to know?
Three very different things answer to the name age guesser. Here is how they compare.
| This photo age guesser | Habit quiz | ID age-check demo | Asking a chatbot | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| What it reads | Your face in one photo | Your answers about music, apps, money | A selfie, for a yes or no age threshold | Whatever photo you paste in |
| What you get | Apparent age, likely range, skin and hair notes, 3 tips | A playful guess of your real age | Pass or fail for a platform | Depends on the chatbot |
| Photo check | Angle, tilt, face size, extra faces | None, no photo | Varies by vendor | Depends on the chatbot |
| Photo kept? | Not saved by this site | No photo | Depends on the vendor | Depends on your chat settings |
| Cost | five free reports a day, no sign-up | Free | Varies by vendor | Depends on the chatbot |
| Best for | How old do I look in this photo | A party game with no selfie | Age-gated sign-ups | A quick second opinion |
When people ask how old do I look
Friends' guessing game
Play guess my age with friends: each person writes down a number, then everyone uploads a selfie taken in the same room and light. Whoever lands inside the range wins.
Before and after a shave or haircut
Take one photo before the beard comes off and one after, same window and distance. Compare the two apparent ages and ranges, and keep in mind that a small shift can be AI variation on its own.
Choosing a profile photo
Run your two favorite shots. If one reads years older, look at its light and angle before you post it on a dating or work profile.
Testing your light setup
Ring light, window or desk lamp: shoot the same face under each and see which one adds years on camera.
Plain curiosity on a birthday
See whether your face reads younger or older than the number on the cake, then read the skin and hair notes.
Why one photo reads older than the next
An apparent age is a reading of a picture, not of you. Change the picture and the reading can move.
Light from straight above deepens the shadows under the eyes and along the smile lines, which tends to read older. Soft light from a window in front of you fills those in. A phone held very close widens the nose and shrinks the ears, while arm's length looks more natural.
Expression matters too. A broad grin creases the eye corners, a relaxed face does not. Stubble, glasses, a heavy filter or a beauty mode all shift what the AI sees. So when you compare two results, keep everything the same except the one thing you are testing.
How to take a photo for a fair age guess
Six habits that give guess my age a fair photo to read.
- Face a window or soft daylight so the light falls on the front of your face.
- Hold the phone at arm's length and at eye level, not below the chin.
- Look straight at the lens with your head level and a relaxed expression.
- Use a recent photo with no filter, beauty mode or heavy retouching.
- Take off sunglasses and push hair away from your forehead and eyes.
- Keep other people out of the frame, or the largest face is the one measured.
Mistakes that skew an AI age guesser
Small things in the photo can pull a guess my age result away from how you look in person.
Mistake: Reading the headline age as exact
Do this instead: Look at the range too. It is the AI's estimate, not a measured confidence interval, so read it as a rough window.
Mistake: Comparing a dim selfie with a sunny one
Do this instead: Retake both in the same light and at the same distance before you compare.
Mistake: Uploading an old or filtered photo
Do this instead: Use a photo from this year with filters and smoothing turned off.
Mistake: Ignoring the head-turned warning
Do this instead: Retake facing the lens. A turned or tilted head changes the face the AI reads.
Mistake: Treating it as proof of age
Do this instead: It is a visual estimate for fun and curiosity, never ID or age verification.
What happens to your photo
This site never saves your photo
This site does not save your photo: it is sent once to the AI for your report and then discarded, and we never use it to train models. The landmarks are measured on your device; then the shrunk photo and those measurements go once to the AI provider in a single request. The site keeps no history of your reports.
What's free
Every visitor gets five free reports a day with no sign-up and no account. A report that breaks on our side is not counted; a photo the AI rejects as unusable is. Past that, leaving an email gets you 20 more that day.
What it is not
An AI estimate for adults: the site is 18+ and the AI is told to decline photos of young children. It does not verify identity, legal age or health.
